They offer up ads for one free revival, and for additional coins in the postgame. The number of coins given seems tuned up as well.

I misread the Epic Mystery Game, it actually unlocks in 6 days, not 6 hours.

And Ghost of a Tale is a really good one, too. It’s one of those games that feels like living in a really well-conceived fantasy novel. It definitely receives The Seal of Owl-proval, whatever that’s worth.

Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics are free on Epic today. I guess it doesn't matter too much, if I remember correctly, these games are really cheap on Steam, but still. They are great, old-school WRPGs, and quite different from the 3D games.

Looks like they also messed up what version they were giving away originally. When I first looked it was the director's cut, and now it's the standard edition

I've been trying off and on all day to get the game and it still hasn't gone through... Guess I won't be finding out what Death Stranding is about.

Did you check your library? I thought it didn't go through, but it was there, even though I didn't get the usual confirmation e-mail receipt.

If not, I had more luck with the webpage than the app, on the off chance you've only tried one or the other.

Yeah, same issues here, although when I tried to redeem it again it did give me the error that I already owned it and it was still processing which I figure is a good sign. I probably have a huge Epic library at this point but don't actually have the Epic launcher installed on anything, ha. Just have it all logged in Backloggery marked with null status until I actually try to play these.

I checked this morning and I never got it.

Oh well. I'm not playing the games I already have and want so no big loss on this. Though I am sure a lot of other people are right annoyed by it.

So my spouse picked up the free Epic game today: Shapez. Factory building game where you mix colours/shapes, etc. He's really enjoying it and I've been doing stuff while he's on the TV and I enjoy the chillsoundtrack. I think it's free for a couple more days.

Nice!

One of the Epic free games this week is Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna). I've watched my kids play this on PSN, and it's a nice side scroller in the vein of Limbo/Inside, but has some optional co-op features ala Lost Vikings. This one's based on Iñupiat (used to be called Alaskan Inuit) myths and legends, and the special features includes a mini documentary about the people and culture.

Oh yeah, I have this on Steam and definitely recommend both the game and the documentary.

Absolutely no way my laptop can actually run Death Stranding, but I definitely took the opportunity to add it to my Epic freebie library so I can play it on some hypothetical future computer.

So many of the free games I get fall into the "This is for Future John" category. This sale does have the Director's Cut DLC half off at $5. I can't speak to if it's worth that since I haven't played the game, though.
