The new anatomy forums are a fun idea. Can't say I'd commit to doing an entire game, but I might make my own thread for doing li'l mini anatomies on certain mechanics and stages from games, maybe the odd easter egg too.

Haha, I just picked up so many of the PDFs my bank froze my card. Didn't know about these before!
I really hope to contribute to this forum. |

Hey, all. Didn't think it would be appropriate to start a thread for this, so I'm making a post in here to let anyone who's interested know of a site I began a couple of months ago devoted to analyzing Castlevania games. I know Jeremy has stressed a preference for "hard" analyses, but I felt that it would be a mistake to gloss over the more subjective aesthetic associations, especially when they make up a large part of my interest in the series -- and the conception for this site started before I was aware of the Anatomy of Games project, anyway, so it was never meant to be an analogous effort. Still, I think it's comparable, and that's why I'm making the post!
The first game I'm going through is Castlevania 4. Bloodlines might be next. |

I might put together some posts on Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts, my alltime favorite game - but I have both a laconic writing style and basically zero experience with either of its predecessors. Still, worth putting it out there I guess.

I love Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts and I would totally enjoy reading such a thing.

Guess I'll start writing up a thing for SGnG.
Edit: Alright, whipped up a quick thing to sorta test the waters. Last edited by Kzinssie; 04-01-2014 at 10:00 AM. |

Jeremy's account balance appreciates your unfortunate timing.
(But seriously, this happens to someone any time anything goes on sale. I just missed a big Blurb sale once. It's just a fact of life.) |

Late to the party here, but I have the screenshot key mapped to a shoulder button on my controller through JoyToKey, with an autofire setting of 10 presses per second, which gives me a smooth series of shots for gif making. Unfortunately the slowest setting available is twice per second, but you might be able to use that or find a similar program that allows a wider interval.

Feel free to ignore, but I think that the Anatomy forums would have more activity if they were higher up the front page, just below Talking about TV games or similar; even sub-boards therein, though that might be a problem when the idea is that they're seperate both "physically" and ideologically. Just a suggestion. I keep forgetting they exist because I had it hard-coded within me to stop browsing once I'd read the pit.
