Ran out of Mountain Dew and have been drinking diet Pepsi with my lunch. I didn't realize how accustomed I had gotten to that daily blast of sugar and calories. Afternoons this week have been rough.

I've been cutting back lately on my pop consumption but it's been hard. I've been replacing some of it with alcohol (Mike's hard lemonaide), but only 1 of those a day.

It is completely your fault that I tried one of these today, because the idea burrowed itself into my subconscious and wouldn't go away until I'd done it. Hope you're happy.

(It was tasty in an awful sort of way. So god help me I will never do it again.)

That is a lateral move at best. Try some water.

It's great how many places have unsweetened ice tea now.

I drink Big Red! I think it's supposed to be a bubblegum flavor.
And there is also its less common cousin, Big Blue.

Whenever I drink Big Red I find myself humming
"He's big, big, big. And he's red, red, red. And that's how he got to earn the name... BIG RED!"
And if that toy were real I know I would fill it up with Big Red soda.

It's apparently a vanilla/lemon/orange flavor, although that's also what generic bubblegum is supposed to taste like, too, so... yeah, you're pretty much right.

Default Soft Drinks

A conversation on Christmas Eve with my siblings turned to soda. My sister's favorite soda: Gamer Fuel. She says she gets really excited when a new Call of Duty comes out because that means the return of Gamer Fuel. She's got a secret stash of the stuff. I've never met anyone who actually drank dudebro soda before, but apparently she's the one. She's like the most unbroish dude ever. Needs that caffeine buzz for those hard core all night Professor Layton sessions.

Me, I like Doctor Pepper.

going back to earlier conversations about ginger ales: the other day I had some of the Ginger People brand, which I will go back for the next time I have a cold or something. so thick and strong it is nearly medicinal.

Big Red was my grandpa's favorite soda pop. He always had a case of that in the fridge. Not so sure about the bubblegum part; I grew up being told it was red cream soda.

Pepsico has introduced Dewshine.

Essentialy this is cane sugar Mountain Dew, minus the food dye and brominated vegetable oil used to suspend that dye. As someone who hates Mountain Dew, I found this pretty tasty!

Is that the original recipe mountain dew? Is the first ingredient orange juice?

Dollar store had it for $1 a bottle. Not bad. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it though.

Baja Blast is in stores again. I don't like it as much as last year for some reason.

Ecto Cooler Hi-C is coming back for 2016. A new can was spotted on eBay and looks to be a leak for the new ghost busters. I really have no clue where else to out this.
