Default SNES Cover Art

I think this must be the port of an Amiga game

EDIT: Is this a bootleg? Usually PAL games have the left side of the box covered up by the SNES logo and banner

As a game it was fine, but underwhelming. The cover-art was the single distinctive thing it had.

Naturally, the GBA port had totally different cover art and was thus left with nothing to make it stand out.

Every time I see the Phalanx cover, I imagine the old man's playing the opening to The Eagles' "Journey of the Sorcerer".

This is how you get people to look at the back of your box.

The guy on the cover of the Phalanx box is probably dead and that makes me sad.

No, I'm pretty sure that's an Elton John concept album.

I was gonna bring that up but maybe there was like some weird Captain Fantastic ZX Spectrum game or something (I don't know what they do over there!), I just kept my mouth shut.

Captain Fantastic is also a pinball machine!

I knew that was an Elton John album art but the SNES is way more interesting than Sir Elton. In other words, more ridiculous SNES box art pls.

Wow, that was new information to me.

And I'm happy to oblige more box art atrocities.

I dunno, man, one of the songs on the album is about the time Dr. Robotnik talked him off a ledge

Yes, but this isn't a thread for Genesis games.

I think the thing I love best about this thread is that, when cropped, the album art looks so indistinguishable from actual SNES box art from the era that you all forgot this was the pit

Lttp, but so much this.

(Also, all my SNES boxes are currently in transit from my parents' house, so maybe I'll have something interesting. Most of them are the usuals though. So maybe I'll just take close-ups and put 'em in Drac's classy "photos of games in real life" thread...)

Mannnn I wish the Super Nintendo Sim City had mouse support! It has so much neat stuff not in the original.

Why doesn't someone release a more updated Sim City Classic ++ or something like that today. Sometimes you feel like being isometric.. Sometimes you don't!

How did I never notice that the letters in the Sim City logo are buildings?

Well, I guess because the logo was kind of tiny on the cart and I didn't play a physical copy since I was tiny-years-old, but still!

Dr. Wright was the perfect Nintendo touch for that game. Kinda wish they'd do a Sim City Switch and bring him back.

Just think, your amiibos could unlock special buildings!

The best thing about Dr. Wright is that he's in Link's Awakening.
