Wow, that's unexpected. Good for Gendy though!

Y'all aren't gonna want to hear this, but...

... someone ought to send Adam Sandler a Christmas card for this one (in that I doubt this gets made if Gendy doesn't have those Hotel Transylvania receipts under his belt)

I don't know, guys, I was always pretty glad Jack never made it back in time to stop Aku. The future world seemed pretty nice, with varied and fascinating cultures living side-by-side and mostly getting along, there's open trade and travel with civilizations across the galaxy, and still plenty of vast unspoiled swathes of beautiful nature and wildlife. Harsh But Fair, that's Aku. Jack needs to set aside his petty personal issues and accept that Aku's doing a pretty good job and stop trying to play God with the timeline.

So, I never watched the original show but for the pilot and some tidbits here and there. Is it available for streaming somewhere?

That's from the episode where they duel, right? The whole "human form" gag?

Yeah, that's a bummer, but they should be able to find a sound-alike. Whoever played Iroh in later Avatar episodes did a decent enough job.

I don't think so, but the whole series is pretty cheap on Amazon, last time I checked.

It used to be on Netflix(in the UK at least), but I just looked and they have removed Season 1??? What an absurd decision.

This is awesome.

My favorite episode is still Three Blind Archers.

The bit starting at about 15:15 is one of my favourite sequences of animation ever made.

It's hard to pick a favourite episode. Hell, it's hard to narrow it down to a top ten.

I might be able to pick one Least Favorite episode?

Jack vs. The Three Blind Archers, Birth Of Evil, Jack and the Spartans, Jack vs. Aku, Jack Learns to Jump Good, Jack in the Graveyard...

That's just right off the top of my head.

Based on hazy memories, the 3 archers episode and the one where he wants to cross a bridge guarded by a scottish guy were both excellent. I should probably rewatch the series!

Anything with The Scotsman is excellent.

The ones that jump out at me as being favorites are Jack and the Ultra-Robots and Tale of X-9.

Tale of X-9 is one of the best episodes of any cartoon I've seen.

I feel confident in saying that the move to Adult Swim won't change things too much. I get the feeling that largely Adult Swim isn't going to interfere with the creation so much and I have a feeling that it just means that there might be slightly more blood and death, which isn't out of place for the show. If you are the network that allows Tim & Eric to happen, you are probably pretty hands off for the creative process.

And yeah, not having Mako is sad because he did an amazing job with Aku. But I also think that Mako (along with the writers, of course) helped develop well enough that a talented voice actor can give a good performance (and there are a lot of great voice actors out there that I think can do it).

To celebrate the announcement I watched Jack vs. the Ultra-Robots, and let me tell you, they were able to produce some chilling visuals with dead robots alone.
