Exactly, I think that's a smart move for a preliminary piece. It's all about solving problems and moving on.

PAGE 3
Each page is a learning experience! Trying out some grey-tone brushtip pens for shading, in lieu of constant hatching. There are still a few spots that look, well, spotty (definitely went overboard in the first panel), but all in all I'm excited to see what I can do with these. This is actually the first page that the scanner improved!

Definitely an improvement over the hatching, it's way more legible and just nicer to look at. The background in the final panel is super. This is two pages, right? I tried to read it left to right at first and realized it didn't make sense.

Finally got off my ass long enough to ink and scan PAGE 4:

Been busy with the start of a new school year, so I've been sitting on the pencilwork for this one since... September 5th. Poo Ass. I'll probably hit this one with the grey brushtip pens as well, see if it looks better with soft shadows

ALSO because I've got no business posting these anywhere else: some smudged-up boob nonsense (NSFW) I just found from a party in August. Think I drew these somewhere between the tequila shots and the sidewalk puke-party. These are the things I want to share with the world

You missed a great pun opportunity with "Oppaiheimer."

Also, I'm loving the columns of hands and gate of... face. how did he miss that indeed

Oh SHIT yes!

Your use of hierarchy, color and repetition are amazing. Keep it up bro! The hand-drawn typography is a little mismatched imho. Perhaps if the letters were given the same treatment as the edges of the panels?

Yeah!! Whenever I try to start a comic project I always get caught up in things like "planning" and "writing a script" and I get to caught up in that nonsense to actually work on the comic. This time I'm just making it up as I go along, and indulging in whatever I find cool or interesting at the time.

Forcing myself not to post anything until I finish that page + make two more. I'm about halfway towards this goal

Looking pretty Nice. It reminds of this one webcomic you've posted before... Demon Planet? Demon World?

I just wanted to say that I think your designs are fucking amazing.

It's also cool to see stuff from your critter-monster post being incorporated into your other projects (well, okay just the Ghost Shrimp, but still).

I was wondering if those were part of some ongoing projects, or if you were just screwing around with sketch paper.

(I have a huge thing for collections of creatures.)

Can't wait to see what else you do!
