I've never seen BTTF and I wasn't around for the original release. How did Chuck Berry like how the movie suggested to the largely white audience that rock and roll was something blacks stole from whites, rather than the other way around?

I wonder how he'd feel opening this thread and seeing the whitewashed version of his song in the first post.

I didn't know who Chuck Berry was when I first saw Back to the Future, so I missed the joke and thought the musician was calling a record producer.
