A villain is saying this to a ludicrous hacker protagonist, but this show also has several instances of characters just straight up talking to themselves, verbalizing their thoughts. My heart is being seduced by this idiotic television program.

Hulu's series description disrespects The Strain's carefully crafted lore and characterization.

I'm a few episodes in and am pretty captivated. Man, those feet tho.

By coincidence, I got to the Jon Hamm episodes of 30 Rock, when I'm not watching Mad Men. It's good for him that he's on 30 Rock because if I only had Mad Men for reference, I'd think he's a total jerk.

Comedic Jon Hamm is a real treasure. He's great in Kimmy Schmidt too.

Mind you, he's also a total jerk there. He seems to have a type.

I liked him on SNL, where he was hawking Jon Hamm's john ham, a meat product designed to be eaten on the toilet.

I was a fan of Ham and Bubbly, the champagne and ham restaurant he forced Michael Buble to open with him.

I am 3 episodes in to Ozark. It is definitely the lesser version of Breaking Bad, but Jason Bateman is a good actor. I can't think of any Netflix Original shows that are trying to be Prestige TV and that actually achieve that goal. I don't think Ozark is gonna be one either, but I'm not bored with it yet.

I think I've seen the highest point of Mad Men. I saw the episode where Pete gets punched a lot by multiple people.

Wet Hot American Summer Ten Years Later is more of the same from First Day of Camp, which is high praise.

The thing about the original UK run of Kitchen Nightmares is that watching it after seeing the clips of the US version you get a real sense of refreshment over how it doesn't have a score that sounds like fucking hans zimmer trying to set an episode of jerry springer -- or, if you prefer, like who wants to be a millionaire is constantly about to cut to commercial break

I'm about halfway through GLOW and I'm really liking it so far. Alison Brie's character's awkward-cringe humor isn't really working for me, but besides the cringey scenes her character works well and I like pretty much everyone else (except Debbie).

So my wife DVR'd LETHAL WEAPON ages ago and we've been shotgunning it over the past 2 weeks or so.

There are a million reasons you should not watch this show in the year of our lord 2017. I mean it's about MACHO COPS who DON'T PLAY BY THE RULES and one of them has HOLLYWOOD PTSD and it's based on a series of movies starring fucking Mel Gibson! I do not blame or hate anyone that says "Yeah I'm gonna say the fuck away from this" for any number of incredibly valid reasons.

But goddamn I love this stupid show.

There's just something so stupidly pure about watching these two jackasses SOLVE CRIMES through GIANT EXPLOSIONS and GROSS MISCONDUCT. This is a show where a BAD GUY outside of a mansion surrounded with expensive sports cars will steal a fucking propane truck just so the explosion at the end of the car chase will be that much bigger. I tried counting all the times the laws of physics stopped applying to Riggs and Murtagh, but I ran out of fingers by the end of the second episode.

This is a TV show where the best way to deal with a bomb is to jump out the 40th story window, thow the bomb straight up into the air, shoot it so it explodes now instead of 30 seconds from now, and then land safely in the swimming pool below.

It's ice cream for breakfast: Obviously bad for you, but MAN it feels good.

I'm five episodes into The Expanse season 2, and it's fully bolstered my faith in the show after a somewhat shaky first season. It finally feels like a really grand work of science fiction, worthy of its name, and the characters who were somewhat sketchily drawn the first time around get fleshed out significantly.

I really wish I hadn't let The Good Place be spoiled for me before I watched it. Some twists are just too perfect to know in advance. I want more of it, yet I can't see how they keep it going for much more than one more season.

Also, Netflix's Dear White People is not really great for homework background noise. I think its really good, but I need to pay more attention to it to know for sure.

Yeah, I would never have thought "grim and gritty reboot of the Tick" would be a thing to exist, much less work, and yet here we are.

It is also amazing and heartening to me that Ben Edlund has managed to keep control over this property over so many iterations (well OK, I guess he sharecropped out the comics long ago).

Netflix (in Canada, at least, not sure about elsewhere) got Son of Zorn. I've watched a few episodes and it seems right up my alley; a He-Man esque barbarian hero (boasting slightly better animation than the Filmation original) moves to California to try to patch things up with his estranged family.

Tim Meadows is his ex wife's new fiancé and is just incredibly charming.

Because that's the only way Tim Meadows can be.

Tim Meadows is the best character on that show by a country mile.

Show is all right (I like when Zorn and his boss get up to hijinks together) but I find it doesn't really hold my attention.

American Vandal is just about perfect. It is a true crime show that seeks to answer an all important question: who did the dicks?

I started watching This Is Us because of all of the Emmy hype. The acting is solid and the dual-timeline structure of the show is clever, which are both enough to keep me watching, but the soundtrack is the worst kind of lite-acoustic Starbucks compilation shit.

Canadian Netflix just got The Good Place. A show I'd been hankering to see following all its good press in this very thread, like, a year ago.

And my patience has been rewarded! Kind of love this.

It's a very good show with lots of details you might miss the first time through. Take your time watching and don't feel like you need to binge watch it, it's a lot more satisfying if you let some of it digest and think about an episode before moving on to the next one.
