Oh man, I wish I had the cash to back Pocket Rumble! It looks like a fighting game made specifically with my tastes in mind - simpler than most fighting games, but still more complex and focused than Smash.

I just noticed that they pinned that thread when I was browsing around today.

It certainly couldn't hurt. Killer Instinct is a remarkably good game (I appreciate it more whenever I play,) but it has precious little exposure. Giving it a PC port could get a lot more people into that game, which seems like a win for everyone. Bonus points if they can pull off cross-play.

It would also nicely parallel SF5's PS4/PC release (which I'd be willing to bet is one of the reasons they're reconsidering it "all of the sudden.")

Adam pretty much implied crossover with the game when the poll went up.

The downside to crossover means whatever GFWL replacement MS cooks up instead of Steamworks though.

I usually don't care about this, but I wonder where this game will fall on the timeline. Mostly because it determines who they'll be willing to throw in the roster.

Post SF3...Ryu does a DENJIN hadoken in the gameplay trailer. Also, now we know what those weird "HADOUKEN CABS" ads Sony put out when the PS4 was launching were for...

That's good.

Also, holy hell does that community rub me the wrong way.

The Denjin confirmation was exciting. Putting SF5 around/after SF3 could lead to a very interesting roster.

Or, y'know, not. But I like the possibilities.

Timeline is never going to trump crowd-pleasers. Look forward to mid-twenties Sakura still wearing her high school uniform.

So Guilty Gear Xrd comes out next week...but the local Gamestop broke street date on it and my roommate picked it up yesterday. It's pretty good, y'all.

I'm hoping the Gamestop near me is doing the same. Gonna find out after work!

it's possible to hit instant kills off the wallsplat, too, particularly if you have a lot of meter and can just roman the shotgun right away

That shotgun is the silliest and best thing. So glad I chose this main. That and Guns and Roses, because why not.

I got Xrd early from a Gamestop and only played it for like 1.5 hours tonight. It's nice that I pretty much have everything I was used to in AC+R. Didn't get around to trying the new characters yet, but I was honestly not expecting Bedman to have an actual bed (the only thing I knew about the new characters were their names).

I can't believe I didn't notice that earlier.

Her character is full of references, like how her dress says "You could be mine." Wearing a wedding dress references the video for November Rain, Shotgun Blues is a pretty obvious idea as well.

played for a couple hours tonight. elphelt's weird and will merit another look when i get a copy next week, but i-no might be just the right choice for me. i thought she was fundamentally really awkward in xx, even ignoring all of the crazy combo pieces you can do that have like 1-frame hit-frc-and-dash-at-the-same-time stuff going on, but her initial learning curve is massively reduced in this game and i already felt scummy even before i started realizing how stupidly powerful the new romans are for her. just like, ok, i'm gonna put this huge projectile on the screen and if it hits i have a long time to see it and combo and if not i still got in just like that

The gameplay demo is the best. There's something that happens in the second game you will want to see.

It happened so fast I didn't notice that Charlie had the Urien/Gill gem going on his forehead.

Edit: For a list of compiled info.

- Revenge moves are back, but they can be cancelled from normals now.
- Characters have their own super bar lengths: Ryu had 2 EX blocks, Chun had 3.
- The "power up" (which in the new gameplay trailer worked like a RC/FADC) uses the full super bar, and works differently for different characters. Ryu's power up vanishes after getting hit or after using a special, whereas Chun's vanishes after being knocked down.
- No guard crushes or guard meter was observed
- Ryu's cr.HP is now two hits
- The demo was played on PC (90% sure)
- UltraDavid said that Chun didn't seem to be a charge character any more
- Stage interactions weren't observed mid-match, however both Ryu and Chun were knocked into the restaurant after being KO'd. This means there is still no evidence as to whether stage interactions affect gameplay
- After a character was knocked into the restaurant, subsequent rounds started in the entrance of the restaurant rather in the middle of the street
- Chun was also knocked back in the restaurant even further, landing in the kitchen and having a bowl of noodles fall on her head. The bowl remained for the next round
- Chun had her upkicks, and it her stomps seem to be cancellable into a "Tensei Ranka" special as previously seen. Combofiend attempted a s.HK otg as seen in the trailer but he was too late.
- Start Menu was quite bare so it was pretty apparent that this game is still a work in progress
- Notifications (Reveral, Counter, Technical etc.) now appear low on the screen, above the EX bars. IMO a great change.

Edit: Triple

- When Ryu does his power up, his hadoken broke Chun's guard.

Edit: Final
During the events of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, Urien longs to overthrow Gill by creating his own army of super-soldier clones with the G-Project.

Not to discourage you, that post was very thorough, but I think this is the most important thing to take note of.
