It'd probably turn it into a salt lake, at the very least.

Crap, I'm just about to go to bed, and now I'm going to be laying there awake, wishing I had one of those. Thanks a lot.

Seriously, Bojangle's biscuits are some of my absolute faves, even just on their own.

You know, it's a decent fast food biscuit but there isn't a hell of a lot of daylight between bojangles and Popeyes or what have you to justify the mystique.

Shit, I make a pretty alright biscuit and it's not even 60% transfat by volume

I like Popeye's, but Bojangle's has something... this sort of satisfying buttery crispiness, a crunch to it that isn't too hard or anything, but Popeye's tends to lack it.

Well, Popeye's here do. I don't know about the States.

To me, Bojangle's biscuits are the buttered toast to Popeye's bread. I like both, but I think I like the former a fair little bit more. It helps that I like Bojangle's menu a bit more as well.

IMO the best thing at Bojangle's is actually the chicken strips -- their breading is pretty decently spicy for a drive-thru joint.

also AV I hope you're doing okay what with a race war threatening to pop off in the middle of your business trip.

God I want to dance around my kitchen and slather BBQ sauce on buckets o' chicken. Kinda like the Joker dancing to Prince in Batman 1989.

I miss, among other things, the Buffalo Bites there. And the Bo-berry biscuits.

my last girlfriend would fly into a rage any time anyone mentioned the Bo-berry biscuit, because she held an eternal grudge at the discontinuation of the Cinnamon Biscuit, i.e. a halved Bojangle's biscuit drowned in a half-inch layer of sugary sludge.

Back when I worked at a hardee's I would seethe when, at the end of a long night of dealing with drunks and swing shifters, I had to deal with the ~*~Biscuit Baker~*~ coming in and acting the prima donna over her job of mixing bagged mix with buttermilk.

Charlotte was okay, I flew out just as the protests were picking up.

Additionally, I was brought catered Halal Guys while at a meeting. Kebabs and pilaf. Possibly the greasiest thing I have ever encountered. Comes with two sauces: Seasoned 'white sauce' that is literally watered-down mayonnaise with spices (which I skipped), and hot sauce that will blow your eyebrows off your face (which I should have skipped).

Also got some Frank Pepe's clam pizza, which was interesting. Take a good-to-great white pie, add clams. Finally, add just enough chunks of clam shell that you can't take a bite without fear of breaking a tooth. Look inside yourself and you'll know instantly if that's what you're down for.

Wow, when was that? The Bo*Berry has been around for as long as I can seem to remember, so unless they were available at the same time (I don't remember it), it must have replace the Cinnamon ones some time ago.

I think I last saw a Cinnamon Biscuit in the wild about five-six years ago. Long gone.

AV: if you ever make it to the triangle I can point you in the direction of some kebabs that will perhaps have only near-fatal results.

Anybody remember the fish place called Skippers in the 80s? I remember going there with my parents when I was young and, at the time, the fish was pretty good.

I don't think Nutella in a hamburger is a disaster in and of itself, but Nutella in a McDonalds hamburger gives me the shivers.

Asia's latest fast food nightmare:

Apparently this started in the Philippines first, but this is from the Japanese website.

Hell yeah, I'd try one of those.

I may not try another, but I'd try one.

As someone who likes trying weird fast food: the double down isn't good. You didn't miss anything.

Yeah, I don't want this weird Chizza thing at all. There are just some things you don't mix.

I kinda liked the Double Down but it was hard to handle and for what it was seemed fairly tricky to prepare. There are nearly equivalent options on the KFC menu that are better choices overall, more sane meal choices than that sort of stunt food.

KFC seems to be making a nest for itself in the same "food-related products for stoners to shove down their gullets" alcove that Taco Bell owned in the 90s. Which makes sense when you realize that they share the same parent company now.

I remember the Double Down being a minor sensation on the very day they started selling them in Canada, but since that day, I haven't heard so much as a peep about it. As if it had never existed in the first place.
