Haha, yeah, there's some very weird stuff in the first few seasons.

Alright, started assembling furniture last night and wound up binging through a bunch of episodes. The end of season 3 and the first handful of episodes of season 4 are pretty dang entertaining and very dense with all sorts of major events happening. Wow.

Lando and G'Kar started out as two of my favorite characters in a campy sort of way but oh-my-goodness does their story arcs become pretty incredible during this period.

And then Brian Cranston shows up as a guest star.

Hang on tight. The density of important plot and character stuff keeps right on going through the end of season four (in no small part because they weren't sure of getting a season five), and that whole stretch is easily one of the best things I've ever seen on television.

Londo and G'Kar are, hands down, some of the best characters in Science Fiction. I'm still amazed JMS managed to pull off their character arcs so flawlessly.

I read somewhere that Londo's actor only could instantly get into character just by calling out "Ah! Meester Garibaldi!" and this makes me happy.

Aw, come on now, this is just getting silly. Now Vir is gone too?

B5 becomes an even sadder rewatch once again.

Damn.

I actually just got back to watching the show again this afternoon. Stephen Furst's Vir gets to play a very important role in that bit of the plot arc. I particularly enjoyed how after the death of the emperor he's tells Lando he's having toasts both for himself and for the recently deceased.

Aw, geez. And only 62.

But let's leave this here, via his sons:

Quote:
“To truly honor him, do not cry for the loss of Stephen Furst. But rather, enjoy memories of all the times he made you snicker, laugh, or even snort to your own embarrassment. He intensely believed that laugher is the best therapy, and he would want us to practice that now.”
