Default Christmas cookie giveaway

I bake cookies for my Festivus victim every year. This year, my imminent recipient has a family attached to them, so I made more than usual. A lot more than usual. Even taking into account the extra mouths I'll be sending these to, I still made too much.

PM me your address and I'll send you some cookies. I probably have enough for around 10 people to get a modest serving. Send me your information quickly if you want any, so they'll still arrive fresh.

This reminds me of this one time where my dad, a retired professional baker, made Christmas cookies and my mom asked why he made so damn many - to which my dad exclaimed "I couldn't cut the recipe down any more!"

And that's it! All the packages have been sent and there's not a crumb left in the house. If you happened to miss this earlier... Sucks to be you, I guess?

I got a box today.

What a mysterious box! We can't tell who it's from because there's a light opaque foil wrapper over the address, but I bet it's from Santa!

The oatmeal cookies have cranberries, cinnamon and... Nutmeg? I can taste brown sugar too, super good.

One cookie was apricot or peach maybe. It was so good I forgot to think about what else was in it, it was super tasty!

Finally, my second favorites are by far the sugar cookies. Which I assume have baking powder in them, which is what I assume of all 'level 2' cookies. These are like level 4 cookies because they're also dipped (!) in chocolate. Very scrumptious! Thanks, Seth. I mean Santa! Santa Marati. Merry Christmas man, this made my Monday awesome.

So what are Level 1 and Level 3 cookies? And are there any other levels?

Level 1: does not contain baking soda or powder or yeast, no 'active' ingredients whatsoever. These are your sugar cookies and peanut butter cookies and oatmeal cookies, typically. Usually 4 or less ingredients.

Level 2: some active ingredient, though yeast elevates to level 3. Typically has a nut or chocolate chip or other 'extra' stuff, but still no spices like nutmeg, though cinnamon can be found here, as in snicker doodles.

Level 3: any cookie with active ingredients and six or more other ingredients. Nutmeg makes an appearance here. If this type of cookie has a step post baking it's elevated to...

Level 4: chocolate dipped, sprinkled, frosted, layered or otherwise altered from oven state.

Level 5: from scratch using bitter cocoa, some post oven process, an active ingredient, must contain cream instead of milk, and often has eggs, sifted flour or whole grain flour. Finally, these cookies are still chewy after a week of refridgeration as the cooking process has properly been interrupted via spatula <5 seconds after being pulled from the oven. Toffee and fudge also hit this high level.

Level six is a secret.

So, hey, let's do this again this year. PM me an address, and I'll send you some cookies. I could use a few bucks in return to cover shipping costs, but it's absolutely not necessary. Anyone who asks shall receive.

We haven't reached the cutoff yet. Truth is, I'm not sure there is one. I've got multiple events to bake for and I'm sure I can budget some extra for TT into every batch.
