Default Greta Van Fleet sounds like the next Led Zeppelin to me

With all the news of musicians passing away the past couple of years, I'm heartened to see a band that channels Led Zeppelin (the lead singer sounds exactly like Robert frickin Plant, I swear) start to pick up some steam. They just released a four song EP after two of their members graduated highschool this year (I'm so old). Check them out, TT:

Their biggest song atm, Highway Tune:

My personal favorite song of theirs, Safari Song:

Black Smoke Rising:

Their "slow" song, Flower Power:

They're from Frankenmuth, MI, of all places, a place I've been to/driven past many times (I can't help but think "the next Zeppelin" might come from the same town as Bronner's Christmas Wonderland). I guess they're working on new music right now to release another two EPs which will then form a full album? No idea when that comes out, but I can't wait for it.

This is ridiculous. It's like a Led Zeppelin tribute band decided to start writing new songs. I might actually like it? But holy shit, that singer is biting Plant's style so hard it's just unbelievable.

I've read a few interviews with them - there aren't many, they're just starting to break out - but when asked about influences, they seem to go out of their way to not name Zeppelin, which is comical because come on.

But yeah... I keep listening to their EP and I keep liking them more and more.

It's absurd, but it's also pretty good, which is also absurd. It's like Led Zeppelin time-traveled to 2017 and put out a pretty solid EP. My brain doesn't know what to do.

EDIT: The "ooh yeah's" in Flower Power just before the three-minute mark: are you kidding me?

DOUBLE EDIT: And the outro is basically Your Time Is Gonna Come. How can this be so shameless while also pretty good?

Hey, when you're a clone of a 70's rock god, you try to hide your origins for as long as you can.

The hell? It works for me still. Maybe it's region locked or something. Here's their official VEVO account or whatever, hopefully that works for you: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJw...4dPJJnq5lUUBbQ

Yeah, their sound isn't super sophisticated yet - but I feel like it will get there. I hope it does, because they sound great.

Hahaha, yeah. Ever seen video of the Allman Bros. Band from way back when? My brain can't process any of these people ever having been younger than 40.
