Back when damage used the stack, you could pump it, bounce it, and still have the damage go through. The Magic 2010 damage rules took a big part of that effectiveness away.

And it was one of the few cards where the metaphor of how damage used to work made sense (looking at you, Mogg Fanatic)

You know when you get over exposed to something and you start to lose perspective on how amazing it is? Looking at a long list like that is a great way to get that feeling.

I'm pretty sure my dream the other morning was inspired by those locales, though. It was beautiful and clever set piece design!
