The Colorado Lasers would be a great team name. They are a, I dunno, a jai alai team.

Look, sometimes Liam Neeson is trying to intimidate a bear over the phone and then looks in the mirror and realizes how handsome he is. It happens.

I'm going to say South Park, but, honestly, every single hint so far has me so interested in seeing whatever it is.

Nope, not South Park.

I want to make it clear that none of my clues are init-capped because IMDB doesn't do it. Needless to say, I disapprove, but copy and paste is easy, and technically I'd be editing the tags if I changed it.

Setting of both a beloved long-running comedy and also The Shining.

I was going to guess Star Trek: First Contact, but then I remembered that's supposed to take place in Montana, not Colorado.

I had a guess (Broken Arrow) but it only matches 40% of those keywords (I thought of the title before I went to IMDB to double-check).

(It's set in Utah instead and has no laser or surprise ending.)

[Those few states seem to be easy to confuse.]

FWIW, Broken Arrow actually came to mind while I was picking keywords, so you're definitely in the right wheelhouse.

(Edit: Torzelbaum, that is. Johnny has gotten pretty far afield.)

Is there a limit on how often we can guess? Because I think I know what it might be now... (Thanks to JBear's response.)

I'd say one guess until the current host tells you "You're wrong" but you are free to change your guess between those times.

Oh shit, that tag. Masterful.

(ETA: This is Johnny's game, and I will never win another round, so best go by his ruling, so sounds like you're clear to guess again, as no one has gotten it yet. I have a feeling my turn is going to be very short-lived.)

Torzelbaum's got it. Boo. I'm impressed. You guys were circling around it pretty quickly, and I felt like I'd held back all of the give-away tags to dollop out later.

In closing, the following is the list of tags that Under Siege 2 and Broken Arrow both share, because wow:

-1990s
-bare chested male
-black comedy
-blockbuster
-blood
-blood spatter
-brawl
-brutality
-captain
-chase
-combat
-death
-deception
-die hard scenario
-disarming someone
-duel
-exploding plane
-exploding train
-explosion
-falling from height
-fax machine (!!!)
-fight
-fighter jet
-fistfight
-gunfight
-hand grenade
-hand to hand combat
-held at gunpoint
-helicopter
-hero
-jumping from a car
-machine gun
-machismo
-martial arts
-mercenary
-mixed martial arts
-murder
-nuclear threat
-pistol
-shootout
-shot in the chest
-shot to death
-terrorism
-terrorist
-terrorist plot
-timebomb
-title spoken by character
-train
-train crash
-train explosion
-u.s. air force
-violence

And that's not even counting all of the close ones, or dozens more that I know apply to both but were only linked to one of them for whatever reason.

I'm no longer convinced that these were actually two different movies.

Ah yes, Christian Slater - the action movie star who is easily mistaken for Steven Seagal.

(JBear, did you compile that list manually or is there some easy way to see which tags two movies have in common?)

Anyway, here's the start of the next round:
told in flashback
organized crime
revenge
escape from jail
last rites

(of 71 keywords)

I know this isn't it, but it's all that comes to mind, so: The Usual Suspects?

I wish. I did that shit by hand over 5-10 minutes, because I spend my time wisely.

told in flashback
organized crime
revenge
escape from jail
last rites

brother brother relationship
attempted murder
corrupt district attorney

(of 71 pkw's)

Not correct. It's sorta close genre-wise but you will need to make a bit of a lateral move to get to it. (The Godfather Part II has 262 pkw's.)

told in flashback
organized crime
revenge
escape from jail
last rites

brother brother relationship
attempted murder
corrupt district attorney

movie premiere
reference to james cagney
bull

(of 71 pkw's)

Nope. (Bugsy is close in another fashion - it has 78 pkw's.)

told in flashback
organized crime
revenge
escape from jail
last rites

brother brother relationship
attempted murder
corrupt district attorney

movie premiere
reference to james cagney
bull

character name in title
cigarette case
rise to power

(of 71 pkw's)
