Did this take place in Hiroshima or Nagasaki in 1945?

If so, ugh. Come on, Crack the Case, you're better than this.

...since it seems we have to spell it out

Was she caught in the explosion of one of the atomic bombs the US dropped?

Yep, that's it! The assassination took place in Hiroshima, Japan, on the morning of August 6, 1945, during World War II. Just a few seconds later, the US dropped the first atom bomb on Japan.

When you've all had a moment to groan, I can post another case, if you like!

Does this take place in 1906 San Francisco and was the rubble left by an earthquake or some other horseshit?

Hiroshima, really? Jesus.

Did his truck crash?

Was he killed when his truck crashed?

Was he the last person to drive his truck?

Is his truck at all involved in the death?

Was Moose actually murdered, though? I'd love for the answer to be, "He just fell asleep at the wheel and crashed, through no one's fault but his own."

Come to think of it, was Moose awake immediately prior to his death?

Yes. Although I'd be very happy if there was a case in here somewhere where the solution is, "It was all a coincidence!"

Was the whatever mangled of his body the cause of death?

Was the body mangled after he died?

If so, did he die from poisoning? Blood loss? Blunt trauma? Natural causes? Asphyxiation/drowning? Broken neck or back? Was he crushed by the rubble?

Was the murderer another employee at his trucking company?

Was the murderer employed by a different trucking company?

Did he consume a soporific within a few hours of his death?

Does cracking the case involve discovering the motive for whoever drugged him?

Did you, Alex, have to Google the word "soporific" to answer this question?

Did I Google it just now?

Was he in a cement mixer prior to being in rubble?

Did he not pay his union dues? Join a union?

Did someone kill him?

Did more than one person kill him?

Was heavy equipment involved like a digger or backhoe?

I don't know.

My dog may have eaten the card, so I am working off of memory here until I find it/confirm it is now dog poop.

My dog ate the card, so here's a hint from memory:

Moose had a different girl in every town!

My dog has an alibi, but any time I try to interrogate her to find out why she is attempting to cover up the crime, she just wags her tail and is too cute to press charges against.

Oh, in case anyone was wondering, Moose was murdered by his girlfriend, who found out he was cheating on her with scores of women, and so she tricked him into going to his apartment building, which was scheduled for demolition, then knocked him out and waited for him to die when they demolished it. She got caught because he had the fax from her telling him to come home in his pocket.

PM me if you want me to do another!
