For posterity, we'll say it's this post about Metroid and Butt Stuff.

The trick is to watch the fire blast. I know this, because I got caught in that loop too.

The etecoon gif, though? That's impossible.

I find this vaguely impossible, but the next post will be the one year anniversary of the blog. It's true! Check the first post in this thread! That's weird, right?

Anyway, now that I've reached the point that even I forget what I've written (seriously, I recently had to be reminded that I wrote this Kirby post back in September), I was thinking about implementing a couple of "best of" links over at the right.

So, anybody have any favorite articles from the year? Any category, of course. Here's the ever popular post index to jog your memory.

In other news, is there a distinct spot on the forums for "hiring" an artist? I have an idea for a one time piece for an article, but I have no artistic talent. If anyone is just reading this and interested, shoot me a PM.
This is a good un.

I sometimes flip through old 'uns when I'm bored at work. I'd say I like Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Final Fight 2, Hologram Time Traveller (though mostly for the gifs) and Dynamite Cop the most.

Good news re: your Pinball Quest write-up.

Rollers of the Realm Came out on PS4 (and I think Vita?) and it is pretty much Pinball Quest As Well.

There is hope yet for this fallen, cursed land!

Sometimes, it's all about the big, round numbers.

(And, no, I'm not cool enough to choose whatever the "preview" frame happens to be)

Haven't bumped the thread in a while because I don't think I've done anything that interesting since the music video in... October? Geez. But!

In honor of Valentine's Day, this week I'm hosting Wankery Week, a focus on games that may have been intended to not be played with both hands. A lot of this week is inspired by various TT threads and discussions, and today's article in particular (NSFW) probably wouldn't have happened without the "Japan is doing just fine" thread. Also, there may be some TT'er guest appearance(s) later in the week.

Keep on wankin' in the free world.

The 300th Faustian Gaming challenge went up today!

Posting to extend both my congratulations on reaching such an impressive milestone, and my apologies for ABSOLUTELY RUINING IT!

But seriously guys, if you're not reading this blog you really should be.

I was reading it. I think I petered out around the 150s.

I just can't keep up with GoggleBob! I can't even find the time to read his writeups. I dont know where he finds the time to play through them!?

Definitely. The FGC stuff's a great weekly read, and it'd be nice to have comments from people besides me on the blog more often than "Once in a full moon."

I never quite know how to react to support (or anything MMM posts), but I seriously appreciate everyone reading the site. And regarding anyone that has "lapsed", I've never really thought of the site as being at all sequential, just take a look at the post index, and if you see a game you like, read about it. Don't worry, I'm very good about self promotion linking to previous articles when they are relevant.

How far in advance did you write the most recent FGC (regarding the Burger King games)? Because the synchronicity with the most recent Retronauts is downright spookifying, and I kind of presumed you have most of these written well in advance and are just trickling them out.

It's usually about a week in advance, give or take some random times when I'm actually kind of "behind" and writing 'em like a day or so ahead. And then there's the occasional article that is about something that came out yesterday and OMG GOTTA WRITE THIS. Which... will probably happen next week.

There was also that time I wrote the Link to the Past articles and they just happened to be posted on the 30th anniversary of the release or something. That was some kind of amazing.

Anyway, yeah, written about a week ago.
