I don't remember Eek the Cat at all. I kinda remember Bobby's World. I remember far less about The Tick than I expected.

Terrible Thunderlizards had a race of dinosaurs, Thugasaurs, that were undead dinosaur skeletons who wore cultist robes. You bet I'm surprised anybody would question the show.

Never watched Eek the Cat. The big 90s toon for me was Ren & Stimpy. Also, Beavis and Butthead hit about right when it should have. Rampant dumbassery and MST3K style shredding of music videos is right in a 13 year old's wheelhouse. In my mid-teens, I'd graduate to Cow and Chicken and Dexter's Lab. Oh, and The Maxx.

Oh, right. Cartoon ducks.

Ren & Stimpy and Beavis and Butthead went off like atomic bombs in my psyche. Like you said, they hit right when they should have.

I don't think a bunch of references are the way to my heart now. I tried to watch Animaniacs a couple times last year and it was a slog. I still have no idea how a child was supposed to get half the jokes - and I don't mean the sly winks that animators have thrown grown-ups since cartoons got started, I mean the big punchlines that rely on a second grader having an encyclopedic knowledge of pop culture.

Well, someone must have been watching, because Fox doubled down on the "standup comic voices a small child and his father" cartoon concept in Life With Louie (which was worse than Bobby's World).

Now I'm thinking about the "real-life" Simpsons house.

To be fair to the topic: Chaotic/Evil was a contest with many entrants, but I sure did have to stretch for the other sides of the chart.

My God that was the weirdest shit. Thankfully by that point I had aged out of the TV cartoon target market.

I'll give you everything else, Ample, but Eek the Cat had its moments in later seasons. The early stuff is all garbage (except the random phrases the mom would recite on her learn french translation tapes, those were often gold), eventually they gave up on that and just started doing whatever the hell the felt like and it actually pulled off some pretty decent, if weird and inconsistent, comedy.

EMERGENCY UPDATE: I just found the wikipedia article for The Mighty Ducks. Which, for clarity, is not the Emilio Estevez film franchise, but the TMNT inspired duck-based superhero show that I forgot existed.

These superhero ducks are named: Canard Thunderbeak, Check "Grin" Hardwing, Duke L'Orange, Mallory McMallard, Nosedive Flashblade, Tanya Vanderflock, and Wildwing Flashblade

Two of them have FLASHBLADE as a surname. One is named Wildwing Flashblade

THAT IS AMAZING!

I thought of Yakky Doodle from Hanna Barbara, but the little video evidence I found of him indicates he may be a dick. And he looks exactly like that pic from Tom & Jerry with a few extra colors. So eh. Back to the drawing board.

"Duke L'Orange" as the name of a duck is a stroke of brilliance.

There are none. They're still pissed off that they were dinosaurs thousands of years ago and now they're goofy and delicious. Nothing but hatred from RL ducks. Funny-ass, waddling hatred.
