At work, but I'll do it when I get home. Was just tinkering with a fillable form last night during raid downtime, heh.

Grappling is great... against humanoids. Don't grapple dragons. Or giants. Or mind flayers.

I really like the bar-bear-ian idea so you c--

The only multiclass is the bearbearian, which is straight from the PHB: spirit totem barbarian/moon druid. But again, it takes a long time to get going so I'll probably save it for something where I start at like level 5, 3 at the least.

I'll think about it. Sounds like we've got some time til the earliest next game anyway!

Hand of Vecna asked me to point out that Echo is not, by any stretch, a damage-dealing sort of wizard. He might consider picking up a direct-damage cantrip at level 4, but as of now it's all battlefield control. So if you were thinking of playing the zappy-zappy wizard, that's still a niche that needs filling.

Cool. I'm probably going to go with the School of Conjuration or Illuision, but I plan on including some zappy-zappy spells.

Wait what? You can play D&D online now?

Am I too late for this campaign or do I still have time? Also it's been 20 years since I played a D&D but I really want to join in if I can and if I won't screw things up too much.

It's never too late!

I'm too lazy to link you the resources you'd need though. Pester Patrick for those.

Everyone's welcome, Issun! I'm hoping that this will run for a fairly long time.

Check the first post for details, but basically the schedule and party makeup should change regularly. It takes place on Roll 20. If you make an account, click the link in the first post, and click Join Game, I can create a blank character sheet for you to use.

D&D's changed a lot in 20 years, both in rules and tone. But one thing that hasn't changed is how enthusiastically nerds talk about it, so ask for help if you're confused on anything or want advice.

Sorry for the delay! I've been busy/caring for a sick dog/out of town. I'm available tomorrow night, and possibly Thursday. I'll post some rumors and a treasure map later tonight. If you want to play, propose a time and a general goal and see who else if up for it.

Patrick, when are you available in the evenings? Crowe, Hand of Vecna, Kristin C and I are all open Thursday night, but two of us are in Mountain time and two are in Eastern.

I generally get home from work at 5:30 Central, and I have to walk my dog, but I should be free by 6 or 6:30 Central.

There will be plenty of opportunities for XP, and there shouldn't be too much wasted time, so I would expect leveling should be pretty average or a bit faster. I want the first two levels to be around one session each for everyone.

The four of us should be on around 6 Central on Thursday, then. What's the party limit? Is there room for someone else as a fifth?

I'm not crazy about scheduling things this way, because the four of you will be a default set party going forward with a fifth player as a guest. The point of the campaign is that there are no set parties. Anyone should be able to jump in, but if four slots are taken up each time you play it makes it more difficult for everyone else. Obviously this is complicated because they can't register or post in here. I'm not going to ban you from playing together or anything, but let's see if anyone else is interested in playing on Thursday before confirming.

Until registration opens up and they can schedule themselves, I'm not sure how else to go about it.

I said Wednesday and possibly Thursday, but I can swing both days.

Yeah, sorry, I don't have a great solution either. Will you be willing to split up into smaller groups going forward?

Here's a treasure map someone found just outside of the outpost:

A watch is about 2 hours. You think the two vertical structures are supposed to be towers.

Word at the Three Moons Tavern is that two adventurers followed a path along the river going North and never returned.

Also, smoke and ash have been seen rising from the South-East in Lakely Woods, and the river coming from that direction has been murky.

Let me know if anyone is interested in playing tonight, otherwise I assume that we're on for tomorrow.

It may be two or three days before my character is ready, as I'll be reading up on rules and fiddling with the creation sheet. Hopefully by next week I'll be ready to jump in.

Three out of four corvids are available tonight too if you need to round out a party. I feel no need to monopolize the game with the same group two nights in a row, but if you need an extra fighter, wizard, or warlock I know a guy.

I am interested in playing tonight, yeah. I can't do tomorrow. Also, I'll be at Emporium tonight for Netrunner, so if you're willing to have me over, let me know!

Sounds like tonight's going to have fewer possible players, so I'll jump in for today and let the Kenkrew take tomorrow.
