Culex gets 5 votes but I was the only vote for this guy?

Man, you made him look so cool here, Loki. Now I want Sniper Bill to get his own game. Why did we have Link's dumb crossbow training when we could have had this guy?

You could play Yoshi's Surfari and pretend you're a bullet bill riding around on Yoshi's back.

Oh, you lawbreakers.

Anyway, I had Wart near the end of my list. He's got a swank necklace. And he's good at blowing bubbles! He must be fun at parties.

YEAH FINALLY THIS LIST!

I had Reznor at #17.

In the early 90s, Kraft Macaroni & Cheese had a Super Mario World tie-in. The boxes came with hints and tips for SMW on the back (or maybe inside? it's been a few years). I remember one of them being a guide on how to beat Reznor - which up to that point I'd never seen, since I could barely even get through the Donut Plains in those days.

Somehow this has become one of my most nostalgic memories of SMW. Thanks, capitalism!!!

Also, a lot of the characters on my list are there because one of my favorite things to do throughout childhood was draw Mario enemies. I couldn't draw people, but I could definitely draw all these little abstract monster shapes.

Reznor, though, gets a 0/5 Drac points for drawing. He was too complicated for me. I just like him for all the other reasons.

I loved the Mario Macaroni. It was my favourite when I was a mere boy.

Oh God, the Mario Kraft Dinner was the worst. It somehow tasted so much worse than regular Kraft Dinner. I asked mom to keep buying it anyway, though, because Mario.

This was also all true of the Ninja Turtles Kraft Dinner, which I think tasted the exact same. Apparently something about shaping noodles into shapes makes them taste like garbage?

I feel like I've been granted so much knowledge of your tastes right now and you didn't even intend it

I mean, my tastes aren't exactly a secret around here.

(Also, they've probably changed in the intervening decades.)

TBH though I don't know that I can talk. I had that Franco-American Sonic-branded slop at least twice as a kid

Oh man.

It was practically a staple in my household.

I'll admit that I carried my love of Spaghetti-Os-like canned products well forward into adulthood. I haven't engaged that guilty pleasure in a long while, though.

Geno's got that cool buff move and his Geno Whirl can kill regular enemies (and one boss) instantly. As a character, he's pretty dull.

He's no Mallow.

I didn't see the voting thread until it was too late, otherwise I would have just put in as much of the cast of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door that would fit. Plus Mallow and Booster, of course.

I gotta disagree here. I always preferred the character-shaped macaroni over the regular elbow macaroni because the texture was chewier. The elbow stuff is like a wet noodle. I never noticed a difference in flavor between the two.

I thought Geno was ugly and I never put him in my party. Mallow was sorta dumb too, but punching is way cooler than guns.

Geno Whirl was kind of neat was I learned of its secret power, but he's still so super boring in a game full of interesting locales and people.

He uses pellet guns and spring-loaded rocket punches because he's literally an action figure. It's ridiculous and fun.

I never understood why he was super popular, but Geno isn't bad either. He's fine.

Oh crap, I just realized I left a very important character off my list. Maybe I'll post about them after the countdown is done.
