Most games that have the cart also have a super version, which allows vengeful players to return if they frag someone.

My favorite Bomberman "campaign modes" are by far the 64 adventures, but I'm down for this, too.

Actual MSRP is $49.99. With my Prime discount I can get it for $39.99.

Bomberman is worth 39.99. I must ponder this.

$50 seems a little pricey for what I've seen of it, so I'll probably wait for the reviews before I make my judgement.

Tempted to make a snarky remark about Konami going all out on the bomberman reddit demographic, but it's a bit hypocritical considering that's where I was when I found it.

It's like a bad cartoon, but now with Bombermans.

I kind of thought we would have heard more about this game by now?

What's to know? It's Super Bomberman again—multiplayer and a story mode with bosses.

If anything I'm kind of surprised how much we've heard about it. Konami used to dump out Bombermen with alarming frequency for any new platform with basically no advance warning or fanfare. If they hadn't gone radio silent on basically every series this likely would have been the same.

Giant Bombcast was not kind to SBR when they were discussing it. They said it ran fairly awfully at the recent event where they had a hands-on.

Did they? I thought there were only like 1 or 2 no-fanfare mobile releases once Konami devoured Hudson Soft.

Konami got majority stake in Hudson in 05 and Bombersman in that era flowed out at a near constant rate as I recall.

Ugh, that speech by the evil emperor went on way too long.

Leaving "Bomberman Does a Thing" and "Planet of the Bomberapes" still as Bomberman's best cartoons.

I'm enjoying it, speed ups can make the controls a bit too floppy, and the isometric view can be a bit weird at first, but I played up to the first boss and had a ton of fun once I got some speed downs.

It's not bad, I keep meaning to play more of it, but Zelda.
Played three rounds of online play, the connection was pretty lousy.

Honestly, if you have Zelda, this could wait for a sale.

According to Nintendo life this sold pretty well even though Zelda sold almost 5 times as many copies. Hopefully it's enough for Konami to notice and we get more, or at least some dlc down the road.

Nnnnnnnng I want to play Bomberman with you guys but I also need to save money for Nier and Persona 5.

Maybe I'll put a couple games up on eBay again and see what happens.

I had something come up for tonight and I'll be away most of tomorrow. Anyone have a night during the week that works?
I could probably do something on Sunday, like 10 pm est or so.

So since this is kind of one of the first big Multiplayer games online for the switch, there's been some noticeable issues. However it's been stated by Konami no less that there will be a patch coming soon to fix some of the input lag, and reduce the lag online. I'm kind of shocked since I thought Konami was gonna fire and forget.

Looks like there is some free update with new maps and costumes (very short clip, starts about the 51 minute mark)

With Pyramid Head??

And Vic Viper???

Unsubstantial fan service? Sure, but it beats erotic pachinko violence.
If they mix Parodius into Bomberman, I think my head would explode.
