I come to this thread in the spirit of contrition. I have failed to offer homage to my metallic lords and the saviors of all heavy metal in many moons. I therefore come before you to spread the good works of Iron Maiden, hallowed be their names and may they rock forevermore.

I would like to offer up my thanks for the blessed awesomeness of their 1982 classic Number of the Beast and the following year's follow-up Piece of Mind. May the the cds that contain "The Trooper" and "Hallowed Be Thy Name" forever hold their place in my car's stereo system so that I might roll down the windows and blast down the open road with Adrian Smith and Dave Murray's twin guitar riffs propelling me onward in exuberant bliss to whatever destination lies before me. May Bruce Dickinson forever retain his ability to howl out a banshee wail while Steve Harris lays down an intricate foundation.

Just as Prometheus stole fire from the gods and shared his knowledge with humankind Iron Maiden has brought wicked licks into my life and forged the love of heavy metal in my bosom. Hallowed be their names and may they rock forevermore.

Believer - 1 of 5 For those of you who like your metal complex, atmospheric, cerebral and melodic.

Personally I'm enamored with this.

I've seen Iron Maiden twice. Those concerts are a good time.

I'm assuming this is what the "maid gym" title of the exercise thread is referencing?

I just found a new metal band called Satan's Hallow and they're pretty rad. No real bells or whistles, just good old-fashioned sweet riffs from start to finish.

I went back and watched a ton of Body Count shit this weekend, and how the fuck did I miss the video where they drive around murdering people who make fun of them on Twitter:

I love Body Count so much.

I like the cover track on the new album where Ice leads in with the little spiel about the origins of the band. "My friend from high school wanted to play guitar, my fans liked to mosh, and I was really into Sabbath and Suicidal and Slayer."
