I think I heard that they officially said 61 would be the final episode of the Cell Saga?

It wouldn't surprise me if they ended #60 with Gohan's super sayan 2 transformation since I seem to remember they all think it's pretty high up there on the awesome scale and it'd be a good round number episode cap.

Also, I'm really enjoying self deprecating Yamcha and I couldn't tell you why.

I watched all of DBS that exists up to now. I can't help myself being irritated a second by power level inconsistencies, before realizing that it's dumb to take them serious at all. And then I realize that I love these inconsistencies, because it means Krillin, Tenshinhan, Piccolo and all the other people who are actually way to weak to do anything are finally doing stuff again. I especially enjoyed the two-parter where Goku and Krillin go of to train together.

I am a bit disappointed in the treatment of Beerus. I wished he stayed this uberpowerful, unbeatable god who is stronger then everyone else, but that went away with the introduction of Zeno. But this is DB, so it's only always was only a question of time until someone would beat him (and then Zeno, who will be replaced by another god, or we se Zenos evil counterpart, or something).

Also, Freeza is a lot of fun to watch, with how delightfully evil he is. Would be nice to have him around for longer (maybe to kill Beerus at some point?).

Well, it seems pretty clear that at least some of the angels are up to no good.

I think it's pretty likely that Super ends with a real battle against Beerus. Maybe not the FINAL battle, but I think he'll get his swagger back.

And I'll second ignoring power logic for character development. Having Krillin suddenly fighting with the god-power dudes is fun even if it's nonsense.

Goku is kind of a terrible person who makes a lot stupid decisions.

Say what you will about the DBS version of the Resurrection F arc, the dub of it seems to be turning out alright.

So what does a power level actually measure?

Swole-potential? Fireball size? Lung capacity?

It seems to be, like, Ki flowing out of a person. It's why concentrating makes it so a person can suppress it, but forms like Super Sayan where the energy comes off them in waves reads as huge power. Meanwhile, god forms use a different kind of Ki (and are supposed to be more efficient anyhow) and stuff like robots don't have natural Ki.

So that's why people's "power levels" go up when they power up. They are causing Ki to build up and shoot out of their ... pores?

Ok so maybe Dragon Ball Fighter Z should get its own thread in the Game forum but this is kind of our big DB dumping ground thread and I had to talk about this.

Toriyama has designed a new Android for the Fighter Z game, Android 21, and we finally got our first look and I absolutely love her design.

I want her added to Dragon Ball Super. I want her to be canon and for her and 18 to kick butt together.

Speaking of Team Four Star, are they in a legal batte? Is that what's up with the hiatus?

They're still working on DBZA, but they also have other stuff on their plate.

There's certainly something going on, dunno if it's a legal thing or if one of their key members is going through some troubles, but it's major enough to cause them to put it on hiatus for the time being.

Despite a Switch version not even being announced, that outfit screams "Switch exclusive character" to me.

Pretty sure its canon that Android 19 (the fat clown robot) was the one that did it for him.

I've not seen an official source on it. It's just generally accepted as the only thing that makes sense. Androids 1-7, and 9-15 either are never shown or non-canon. 8 wouldn't have helped. 16's programming was incomplete. 17 and 18 are cyborgs, so they weren't apparently programmed, per se (just brainwashed), and neither had the unquestioning loyalty or the skill it would require.
