Hm. So, I think it's likely that Foul Evil's Culprit is one of REP or OFFICE. Since there's the possibility that he could've paranoia+'d both, I'd personally suggest to paranoia- one of them, so that if the Incident happens, we know who the culprit is (and if it doesn't, we have a pretty good idea on who the culprit is).

Now also seems a good time to try to Goodwill+2 on SHRINE GIRL; hopefully we'll live long enough to get a role revealed.

I agree, Goodwill+2 Shrine Girl. I almost think it's usually a good idea to pump out our 1/Loop cards early in these early loops since we'll probably lose anyway.

I'd put more money on Butterfly without Change than the other way around, but both are legal.

All it means is that if they're the culprit for an incident, the incident will trigger. In this case, it unfortunately means our heroes know who's on the hook for Foul Evil.

I think +1 goodwill on the informer is a good idea yet again to get closer to revealing a subplot. We will also want to forbid further intrigue on the shrine.

Question: The various "Forbid X" cards only apply against other cards played that round, right? Like, if we Forbade Intrigue somewhere, could you still increase it via the Brain's Mastermind Ability? I'm going to assume that Incidents don't care about the Forbid cards, but if that's wrong, please correct me.

I don't think this will do anything: the shrine has 2 intrigue, it won't matter if it gets more and we can't remove it. I think however I will Forbid Intrigue on the shrine maiden.
